Covington Cup and SGA Charity Day - Results

This year’s SGA Charity Day and the inaugural Covington Cup, kindly sponsored by ARDSON Volvo, Mons, was held at the RGCH on Saturday the 15th of June.

An excellent field of 91 competitors were faced with some windy conditions and tough pin placements, which made scoring difficult.

However, with an excellent round, scoring 42 points, the Covington Cup was won by former SGA Captain, Alex MacDonald. Chapeau Alex.

Alex can be seen receiving the trophy from the SGA President, Steve Covington, accompanied by SGA’s Captain to be, Kieran Nevin, and the ARDSON Volvo, Mons representatives, Damien Hecq, far left, and Valentin, second left.

A huge thank you to them and their company for funding an excellent prize table.

The other SGA successes in the Covington Cup were as follows:

First place, Men’s Division 1, Alex MacDonald (42 points).

Second Place, Men’s Division Two, Daniel Lootze (37 points).

Third Place, Men’s Division Three, John Hunter (35 points).

Second Place, Ladies’ Division Two, Nina Hetland (35 points).

Third Place, Ladies’ Division Two, Gwen Smits (34 points).

The Men’s nearest the pin and Pro’s approach were won by Kieran Nevin.

Congratulations everyone
